No, you twit. Liberals hate what you’ve done to the word. Patriotism used to mean beliving in your country and standing up for it. You and your cronies have changed the definition to mean “blind obedience, regardless to consequence or even fact, to the standing powers that be and hatred for those who don’t fall in line”.

I never met a dedicated liberal, progressive, democrat, whatever is the current label who actually was proud to be a citizen of the United States. Not one. At the root of patriotism is love of ones country and quiet honestly I doubt very much that any democrat gets that.

well, that’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard today.
‘Love of country’ doesn’t mean ‘blind’, and it doesn’t mean that you don’t also want to change it.
That’s the problem. ‘Patriotism’ has been changed to mean unquestioning obedience.
And that NEVER works out well.

What is sad is how ‘patriotism’ has become politicized.
Support the war or you are a traitor and want the troops to die.
Support the President, its a time of war!
Support everything the US does or you are unpatriotic and can’t be trusted.
The Founding Father’s would be proud.
