I only wish it was the stupidest thing I've heard today. What is sad is how 'patriotism' has become politicized. Support the war or you are a traitor and want the troops to die. 'Love of country' doesn't mean 'blind', and it doesn't mean that you don't also want to change it. That's the problem. 'Patriotism' has been changed to mean unquestioning obedience. Not one. At the root of patriotism is love of ones country and quiet honestly I doubt very much that any democrat gets that.
