SCOTUS: Screw the 4th

Court says evidence is valid despite police error – Yahoo! News
WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court said Wednesday that evidence obtained after illegal searches or arrests based on simple police mistakes may be used to prosecute criminal defendants.
In short, so long as the cops THINK they are doing the right thing, you have no 4th Amendment Rights.
They can arrest you, go into your car, pockets, and I’m assuming your house, and anything they find is A-OK. All that matters is that they believe they are within the law.

Thanks much for the heads up. I didn’t realize this decision was already in play.
